Action:

1) Right-click on the desktop to display the pop-up menu.
2) Select 'Properties'. (The 'Display Properties' dialog box appears.)
3) Click the 'Appearance' tab. (The 'Appearance' tabbed page appears.)
4) Select 'Icon Spacing (Horizontal)' from the 'Item' drop-down list box.
5) Decrease the size in the 'Size' box by an increment of approximately 10.
6) Click 'Apply'.
7) Repeat the procedure that originally generated the error message.
8) If error still occurs, repeat steps 4) and 5) one more time and click 'Apply'.
